Entertaining and Educational - Chinese Activities for Kids

It is time to study China! The projects and research is all done - just visit these bloggers for wonderful lesson plans.

Hwee and Tiger have prepared several meals in celebration of Chinese New Year. Posts full of videos at The Tiger Chronicle explain the meaning of the traditions.

Marie's Pastiche has spent a year studying China. There are posts on making fans, Chinese Opera, printmaking, compasses, and more. The year is winding to a close as they transition from China to West Africa.

All Things Beautiful is just getting started on China and Asian studies. This week they made a Chinese Chess game and 1000 paper cranes from Japan.

Finally, two years ago we did our own Ancient China study. We began with the Xi dynasty and covered through the Ming. There are a few dynasties left which we hope to get to next year.
